Last Day & Travels Home
Hello from Denver! We started our last day in Rome with breakfast at the hotel before catching the bus up to Villa Borghese. It was a little bit difficult to catch the one we wanted due to a bus/train strike that was happening that we didn't know about until we were actively trying to catch it! On the last trip to Rome, we realized how big the park was. Since there were several bike rental options in the area, we picked up a bike to fly around, getting some great views of the surrounding piazzas and briefly stopping by the Borghese Gallery (which was sold out for our visit). We ended up biking about 3.5 miles during the hour we rented the bike for - good value for the hour of fun, too! We then headed down towards the Spanish Steps and got lunch at Pasticceria D'Angelo. This pizza was way better than the one we ate earlier in the trip.
